Ke Ao Maluhia at Maui Lani

In a significant step forward addressing the urgent housing needs of Maui wildfire survivors, Ke Ao Maluhia is the result of an unprecedented collaboration between the State, County, HCF, FEMA, and the American Red Cross, which established the Maui Interim Housing Plan as a collective response post-Maui wildfires. This important project represents the first set of mid-term housing options for Maui families.

Nestled beneath the Fairways at Maui Lani development in Central Maui, Ke Ao Maluhia presents a community of 50 cozy modular homes, each spanning just under 600 square feet and featuring two bedrooms.

The project unfolds in two phases: the initial phase, comprising 34 homes, will be ready for occupancy by June. Following closely, an additional 16 homes will be completed by July, completing the ensemble of 50 homes.

Eligibility for residency extends to individuals directly affected by the Maui wildfires, with no income restrictions in place. Rent stands at $1,850 per month, encompassing water, sewer, and trash services. Each unit accommodates a minimum of two occupants, with a maximum occupancy cap of five individuals. Pets under 50 lbs are welcome.
